Cytisus (Broom)This is a deciduous shrub which grow’s up to about (12 feet) in height, depending on what type is grown.
These plants like to be planted in, is in full sun or and the soils must be sandy soil. To prune, after flowering cut the shrub in half but never cut in to the old wood. The time of year the flowers are on the plant are from about April to about mid July. To propagate, take semi ripe cutting in the Summer. |
Above - Cytisus X praecox ‘ Warminster ’ ..... this is a deciduous shrub which grows to about 1.2 metres ( 4 feet ) in height and spreads about 1.5 metres ( 5 feet ).
